About Us
Founders, and husband and wife, Shaun and Michelle Smith have been in the Real Estate industry for the better part of their working lives. Early in 2017, they finally decided to join their separate real estate careers and work with each other, but were unsure about what that would look like.
They contemplated many available options including joining another firm together, setting up a team under another firm, becoming a husband and wife team on their own, etc. Nothing seemed to fit exactly what they wanted. Considering their strong passion for giving back to their community, Shaun and Michelle knew that however they positioned their new venture it had to combine their love of Real Estate and their passion for community involvement.
Ultimately, they determined the only way to realize both goals to their fullest potential was to set up an independent firm with a strong focus on giving back to the community; primarily through housing related charities. With a mission and purpose in mind, they then needed a name that would portray a sense of giving back and desire to grow and benefit the community – the name ‘Society’ kept sticking in Michelle’s mind. When considering the meaning behind the term Society, right away they knew it was perfect.
Society
- (1) companionship or association with one’s fellows;
- (2) a voluntary association of individuals for common ends; especially: an organized group working together or periodically meeting because of common interests, beliefs, or profession;
From there, Society Real Estate started to take on a life of its own. And, soon their little team of two very quickly and organically grew into a family of more than a dozen agents! Society Real Estate is a small, locally owned firm that is made complete by the outstanding brokers/friends that have decided to join Shaun and Michelle in their adventure and mission to grow and give back to our wonderful community. We look forward to years of success and the ability to help others with all their Real Estate needs.
